Kasb — Entrepreneurship & Small Business
Turning a skill into an income, an idea into a business — and phase three of our orphan pathway. £500–£2,000 per enterprise.
A programme that enables people with skills and workable ideas to launch or grow their small and micro-enterprises.
How it works
- Assessing ideas and projects and studying their feasibility.
- Training in business management and preparing business plans.
- Providing grants, production tools or productive assets, according to available resources.
- Ongoing mentorship and follow-up.
- Connecting enterprises to markets.

In the orphan pathway
Kasb is also the final phase of our orphan sponsorship. Young people who completed Hirfa move on to full economic independence, supported by microfinance, training and mentorship.
£500 – £2,000 per enterprise, depending on the project. The long-term goal is to break the cycle of poverty and build a generation of entrepreneurs who create opportunities for others.
